ALISTER STRATEGIES, S.L. (Sociedad Limitada Unipersonal (Spanish private limited company)), trading as “The Sky That Evening”, registered office Calle Núñez de Balboa 120, Cink Coworking, 28006 Madrid, Spain, tax ID B93989465, EU VAT ESB93989465, represented by its sole director Domenique Alister Wissink. Contact: hello@theskythatevening.com. In these terms “we” and “us” mean this company; “you” means the customer.

These terms apply to every order placed through https://theskythatevening.com. By completing checkout you accept them. We only sell to people aged 18 or over with legal capacity to contract. Where you order as a business, consumer-specific rights in these terms do not apply to you.

Each canvas is generated individually from the coordinates, the calendar date and the size you select. The sky is reconstructed from solar geometry for that location and evening, combined with historical weather data (cloud cover, humidity, visibility). It is an artistic interpretation based on real data, not a photograph, and colours may differ slightly between screens and print.

1. You choose a location, a date and a size, and review the live preview.
2. You enter your name, email, phone and delivery address on our site.
3. You pay through our payment provider Stripe. VAT is calculated at checkout.
4. The contract is formed once payment is confirmed; you receive an order confirmation by email.

Your order details (coordinates, date, format) are stored with the order and are reproduced on the printed coordinate strip exactly as shown in the preview. Please check them before paying — production is based on what you submitted.

• All prices are in euro (EUR) and include VAT where applicable to your destination.
• Tracked and insured shipping is added per order, from €3,95, calculated from the canvas size and delivery country and shown before payment. See our Shipping & Returns rate table.
• Buyers outside the EU may owe local import duties and taxes, which are not included.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card details.
• We may correct obvious pricing errors before dispatch; if a price was clearly wrong you may cancel for a full refund.

Canvases are made to order and printed through our production partner. Production takes 2–4 business days, followed by carrier transit. Full details, estimates and tracking information are set out in our Shipping & Returns policy, which forms part of these terms. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery.

Consumers in the EU normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. Because every canvas is manufactured to your individual specification and is clearly personalised, this right does not apply under Article 103(c) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (implementing Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU). By placing the order you expressly acknowledge this.

You can still change or cancel an order before it enters production — email us immediately and we will cancel and refund in full if printing has not started.

You have a three-year legal guarantee of conformity under Articles 114–127 of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007. If your canvas arrives damaged, defective or printed incorrectly, contact us within 14 days of delivery with photos of the item and packaging and we will reprint and reship free of charge, or refund you. Beyond that we remain liable for any lack of conformity for the statutory period.

We are not liable for damage caused by misuse, direct sunlight bleaching over long periods, moisture, or unsuitable mounting.

In addition to your statutory rights, if you are genuinely unhappy with how your canvas turned out, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we will reprint it once at no cost or refund the product price at our discretion. This voluntary promise does not limit your legal rights.

We keep the copyright in the artwork and the software that generates it; you receive a perpetual licence to use your canvas privately and non-commercially. If you send us photos or video of your canvas, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to show them on this site and our social channels. You can withdraw that permission at any time by emailing us.

Our liability is limited to the value of the order, except in cases of death, personal injury, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Spanish law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss such as missed gift occasions caused by carrier delays.

We process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Send any complaint to hello@theskythatevening.com; we answer within 14 days. These terms are governed by Spanish law. Consumers may also sue, or be sued, in the courts of their own country of residence within the EU, and may use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform. Consumer-law rights you hold in your country of residence are unaffected.

We may amend these terms for future orders. The version published at the moment you order is the one that applies to your purchase.
